Eberhard Wolff is going to present both the new features of Spring 3.0 as well as the next steps in Spring development. While I’m not very interested in 3.0 (hey, we at QuinScape developed with Spring 3.0 poster in cooperation with Eberhard Wolff and Software & Support) I’m always looking forward to new tidbits of information about the next versions – and this is a nice warmup early in the morning

Adam Bien is going to talk about the future of Enterprise Java. As we as QuinScape switched (mostly) to Spring in order to avoid the hassle of Enterprise Java and provide more benefit for less money to our customers I am looking forward to Adams statement since he is really one of those guys who just “get Enterprise Java”. I just wish Sun would have had more luck with that technology as a whole…

Despite being the head of our SpringSource Premier Systems Integrator team at QuinScape this one took me by surprise. It was a well-guarded secret as far as we are concerned and no information leaked previously. And I failed to see the signs although they were there:

Eberhard and I will be talking about various Spring related topics and and give the full course from the very basics (what is Spring and why is it good?) to the most advanced topics (how do the distributed administration of a large SpringSource tc server cluster work with some simple magic?). I’m looking forward to the code camp since it will be a great opportunity to do some great coding together. And the evening events also are goinf to be alot of fun!
