W-JAX 2009 starts for me today… since the past couple of weeks have been extremely busy (how could it be otherwise

Wow, the next week really is going to be quite a fun week. A training, o and two days of holiday for the largest gaming show in the world. And some JADE programming mixed in. I’m gonna love it.

Despite being the head of our SpringSource Premier Systems Integrator team at QuinScape this one took me by surprise. It was a well-guarded secret as far as we are concerned and no information leaked previously. And I failed to see the signs although they were there:

Eberhard and I will be talking about various Spring related topics and and give the full course from the very basics (what is Spring and why is it good?) to the most advanced topics (how do the distributed administration of a large SpringSource tc server cluster work with some simple magic?). I’m looking forward to the code camp since it will be a great opportunity to do some great coding together. And the evening events also are goinf to be alot of fun!

Occasionally I write articles… one more just went online. It’s a short German opinionated abstract about Spring Roo.
While I initially was somewhat neutral about the latest offering from Spring – Spring Roo – my opinion is changing. While I’m still not overly fond of the project speedup features (IMHO that belongs into the IDE and not into a separate platform – and I don’t want to see a console for that) I am extremely impressed by the work Ben Alex seems to have done on the internal models underlying Roo.
